Paul, the author of this verse had everything. He was a man of great authority, power, and respect. He was a religious leader and a military leader. He had everything he could want. Then, the resurrected and ascended Jesus spoke to Him and He was never the same. He completely surrendered His way of life for God's way of life. But in order to do so he had to give up everything!, even his friends and family. His whole life was turned upside down. He realized that everything he had meant nothing in comparison to truly knowing and following Jesus the Christ. Nothing in this world is valuable enough to compare to a saving knowledge of, and relationship with, Jesus. God's way always leads to life and godliness, our way always leads to death and eternal suffering. Deuteronomy 30:19 put's it like this, "This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before
you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your
children may live"
Daily devotions to read, share and discuss with the entire family. "For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. ~ 1 Thessalonians 1:4-5 (make sure to feed the fish at the very bottom of this page)

Love God, Love People.
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them ~ 1 Timothy 2:1 ~
God wants us to care enough about people to pray for them, not just some people, but all people. If you know someone, or know of someone, that needs help beyond what you can give, take the time to ask God to help them, He listens to our prayers, especially prayers for others. If you don't know how or what to pray, that's OK. because God knows their needs, the important part is that we care enough to pray. If you don't know what to say, say this, "God, I want to pray for this person but I don't know what to say" God will either give you words or He will simply hear your heartbeat, but either way He's got it covered. So if you truly love God...take the time to love people, give thanks & pray for them.

Debt Management
Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. Go near to listen
rather than to offer the sacrifice of fools, who do not know
that they do wrong...Do not be quick with your mouth, let your words be
few...It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill it....Do not
let your mouth lead you into sin. ~ Ecclesiastes 5:2-7 ~
IT IS
WRITTEN...if you have been trapped by what you said, ensnared
by the words of your mouth, then do this, my son, to free yourself, since you
have fallen into your neighbor’s hands: Go and humble yourself; press your plea
with your neighbor! Allow no sleep to your eyes, no slumber to your eyelids.
Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the
snare of the fowler ~ Proverbs 6:2:5 ~ Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing
debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.
~ Romans 13:8 ~
Here is what
God showed me...Debt is much more just money. We can can have
many forms of debt. An obligation is a debt. Do not be quick to tell someone
you will do this or do that, or I will be here or there, but rather take time to pray before you speak 'so that' your answer, is God's answer.

Galatians 4:28 "Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise."
God promises certain things to those who believe in Jesus, those who belong to Him. He promises everlasting Salvation, He promises never to leave us alone, He promises grace, and mercy, and forgiveness, He promises the Holy Spirit that comforts, leads, and guides us, He promises a life of joy. So whatever difficulty your facing, give it to Jesus, then trust in Him for He is a man that cannot lie, God keeps His promises and that is the foundation of our faith. The closer your walk and relationship to God, the easier it is to build faith because you know His character and believe Him. If you need more faith, spend more time in prayer and ask God to reveal Himself to you. And He will.

Deuteronomy 8:5 Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.
Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD, the man you teach from your law

~ Zephaniah 3:17 ~
"The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight
in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."

Many are the troubles of the righteous, but they may rejoice in God's love.
Surely our hearts should honour the Lord, and rejoice in him when we hear such
words of grace. In due time we shall be gathered into his temple above.God delights to show his love and great affection toward his Church.
The
glory and happiness of the believer will be perfect, unchangeable, and eternal,
when he is freed from earthly sorrows, and brought to heavenly bliss. Thank you Jesus that we have a wonderful promise set before us but also let us thank you that you do not leave us alone in the meantime, you are with us right here on earth helping us and comforting us through all our trials.
